CYPRESS LAKES HOA3
In this issue:
Spring Garage Sale
The annual Cypress Lakes Spring Garage sale is slated for Friday and Saturday April 22-23. This is an opportunity to get all that junk out of your garage so that you can finally use it for its original intention: parking your car! That way you won’t have to park it on the street and have all those negative nellies writing about you on the Nextdoor website. Seriously a great opportunity to clear out you junk, which is someone else’s treasure.
Golf Course Renovation
It’s happening! And what an awesome job they are doing. These are exciting times in our neighborhood. Now I know some are not happy with the dirt and dust from construction but it all depends on how you look at it. When your home that you are living in was first built your neighbors had the same issue. This is a sign of growth and excitement. So your not a golfer? Think of the value of your home when the course is complete. It is going to be one of the finest courses in the area and will continue to be affordable for those who cannot afford the country club. So be patient and see this progress as a positive thing.
New Firehouse and Police Station
Where Golf Ridge runs into Cypress Links (old First Tee facility) will be a new Fire station and Sheriff’s office facility. That should make us feel safer and provide some discounted insurance. The fire marshal has assured us that it will fit design wise into our neighborhood
Parking in Street
Our roads are not wide. While it is permissible by law to park in the streets, it is not recommended, especially at night. And if you do park in the street, by law you must park in the right direction. Here’s why: if you or your neighbor needed immediate medical attention, the fire trucks and ambulances would be slowed by any cars parked in the street. We are asking you to be considerate of your neighbors and not park in the street, especially at night. And please don’t park on the grass. We live in a nice community...let’s keep it that way. Thank you.
Dues
Our dues were due January first. We gave you a two month grace period to get them in and most of you were timely in that effort. We only have five families who have not paid for 2022. Please do not let this go by any longer. The next steps are not pleasant. We are certainly appreciative of the 98 families who are current. Thank you for taking care of this
Board Meeting
Our next Board Meeting will be April 28 at 5:00 pm at the pool. Please note that this is the fourth Thursday, not the third Thursday. The reason is the availability of our new CAM from Alsop which is our new Management company that took over January 1st. Melissa Keating is our new CAM and will be in our neighborhood twice a month checking on compliance.
